- Automatic: book page views, clicks on store links and minimal technical logs needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.
2. Why we use it
To run accounts, personalize your shelf and notifications, measure book popularity for the "Trending" section, keep the community safe (anti-spam, report handling) and improve the product.
3. Cookies and sign-in
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme. We do not run third-party advertising trackers across the site.
4. Sharing
- We never sell personal data.
- Your display name and reviews are shown publicly to the community.
- We may disclose information when required by law or to protect legitimate rights of the platform and its users.
5. Storage and security
Data lives on controlled infrastructure (PostgreSQL, access-managed file storage). Passwords are hashed with a one-way algorithm; links and HTML content pass through sanitization layers. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect your account is compromised, change your password and contact us.
6. Your rights
- Access and edit your profile and content at any time.
- Request account and related data deletion (some community content may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve discussion context).
- Unsubscribe from periodic emails via the link in every digest.
7. Children
The service targets readers aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data of younger children; if you find such an account, report it and we will remove it.
