To run accounts, personalize your shelf and notifications, measure book popularity for the "Trending" section, keep the community safe (anti-spam, report handling) and improve the product.

3. Cookies and sign-in

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme. We do not run third-party advertising trackers across the site.

4. Sharing

• We never sell personal data.
• Your display name and reviews are shown publicly to the community.
• We may disclose information when required by law or to protect legitimate rights of the platform and its users.

5. Storage and security

Data lives on controlled infrastructure (PostgreSQL, access-managed file storage). Passwords are hashed with a one-way algorithm; links and HTML content pass through sanitization layers. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect your account is compromised, change your password and contact us.

6. Your rights

• Access and edit your profile and content at any time.
• Request account and related data deletion (some community content may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve discussion context).
• Unsubscribe from periodic emails via the link in every digest.

7. Children

The service targets readers aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data of younger children; if you find such an account, report it and we will remove it.
